12/1/2007 16 Wow, its been a while since I posted anything new. I've been working on the canopy mostly, bits and pieces here and there. I removed and repainted the panel and roll bar... better primer. I spent the weekend doing that..... Photos
11/24/2007 8 Began fitting the aft canopy and installing the lugs. This ended up being a real pain. The canopy ended up being just a tiny bit too wide. It happened when the C-704 splice plate got drilled. Anyway, it took far longer than I thought but I eventually got there. Photos
11/14/2007 3 I pushed the RV-7 out the onto the drive way in order to turn it around. The canopy would not tip up because of the garage door rails. I then installed the canopy and the gas struts. Photos

11/4/2007 8 More canopy trimming.... Photos
11/3/2007 8 Worked on the plexiglass canopy. I required a lot of careful measuring and trimming. Mike Radomski dropped by to work on the engine hook up. Thanks Mike! Photos
10/30/2007 3 Fabricated a new C-704 splice plate and match drilled to the canopy. Photos
10/29/2007 8 Began re-working the canopy frame. After riveting the wedges into the side frame I was NOT happy with the fit. Photos
10/28/2007 8 Riveted the C-702 skin and stifferners onto the canopy frame. Photos
10/27/2007 8 Assembled the canopy stiffeners, primed them, drilled them in place and dimpled. Photos
10/16/2007 3 Positioned the canopy and drew the line for the big cut. Photos
10/15/2007 3 Two cuts down each side... on the canopy Photos
10/14/2007 6 Made first cuts on the canopy. Forward section almost complete. Photos
10/13/2007 8 I finished up the canopy latch mechanism. Photos
10/11/2007 2 Worked on the canopy latch assembly, edge de-burred parts and fabricated the mounting angles. No Pics
10/9/2007 1 I spent about an hour reading up on the canopy cutting. I did a small bit of prep on the plexiglass and Terry Daily helped me set it in place for the firest time. It was a Kodak moment. Photos
